How long does transcription take? +
Most files are transcribed in 2-5 minutes. A 1-hour recording typically takes about 2-3 minutes to process. Processing time depends on file length and server load. You'll see real-time progress updates during transcription.
What file formats does Transcribee accept? +
Transcribee supports all major audio and video formats including MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, MOV, AVI, WMV, FLV, MKV, WebM, and more.
Does Transcribee identify different speakers? +
Yes! Transcribee uses speaker diarization powered by AssemblyAI to automatically detect and label different speakers in your recordings. Each speaker is labeled (Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc.) and you can rename them after transcription.
Is my data secure with Transcribee? +
Absolutely. We use SSL encryption for all data transfers. Your audio/video files are automatically deleted immediately after transcription is complete - we only store the transcript text in our secure PostgreSQL database. We never share your data with third parties.
Can I edit transcripts after they're generated? +
