If you see "cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer":
Method 1: Right-click
Method 2: Terminal
xattr -cr /Applications/Transcribee.app
Run this in Terminal, then launch the app normally
If you see "Windows protected your PC":
💡 This warning appears because we don't have a Windows code signing certificate yet ($200/year). The app is safe to use.
AppImage needs execute permission:
chmod +x Transcribee-1.1.2-arm64.AppImage
Then double-click or run: ./Transcribee-1.1.2-arm64.AppImage

Why these warnings? Apple and Microsoft require expensive certificates ($99-$200/year) to avoid security warnings. As an early-stage open-source project, we haven't purchased these yet. The app is completely safe - you can review the source code on GitHub.
